All Saints Day - A Holy Day of Obligation

November 1st

Thursday, November 1st is the Solemnity of All Saints, a Holy Day of Obligation.  It is a day set aside to remember all the saints, known and unknown, who enjoy the glory of heaven.  Masses are on Wednesday, October 31st at 5:30pm, and Thursday, November 1st at 8am (School Mass) and 7:00pm.  Benediction will be at 4:30pm on Wednesday.


Young Adult Social

November 1st- Following the 7pm Mass

Calling all young adults ages 18 to 35!  Join us for a great night following our November 1st, All Saints Day 7pm Mass.  We will be out on the field with a fire pit, s'mores, games and great people!  If you have any questions email mspecht@st-raphaels.com.  


Daylight Saving Time Ends

November 4th

 Remember to set your clocks back an hour at 2am Sunday, November 4th.


November 4th

The Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast in the Parish Center, following the 8:00am and 9:30am Masses on Sunday, November 4th.  Be there for the Knights, have breakfast with your friends, and keep your kitchen clean!


Mass of Remembrance

November 7th

This year the St. Raphael Mass of Remembrance is scheduled for Wednesday, November 7th at 7:00pm.  We come together as a community in a special way to remember those who have died in the parish this past year (Nov. 2017-Oct. 2018).  A reception in the Parish Hall follows the Mass.  If you would like the names of loved one to be included, please contact the Parish Office, 821-7989, no later than 12p on Mon., Nov. 5th. Benediction will be at 6pm that Wednesday.


 

IT'S HERE!  The St. Raphael Festival will be November 9th-11th, 2018 beginning at noon each day.  Join us for our annual parish wide event with music, food, rides, and two ninja obstacle courses by Shinobi School of Tampa.  To purchase tickets or sign up to volunteer visit the festival website: https://srcfallfest.com/.  


Annual Liturgical Minister Evening of Reflection

November 13th, 7pm  

 

All Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and Liturgical Ministers are invited to attend the Annual Evening of Reflection on Tuesday, November 13th, at 7pm in the Parish Hall.  Fr. Lou Turcotte recently ordained and Parochial Vicar at St. Timothy in Lutz will be sharing a reflection on the effects of the Eucharist in our daily lives.

Do you find yourself bewildered as to how to "celebrate" the holidays when a loved one has died?  Please join us to help you be better prepared to meet the unique challenges the holidays present.  St. Vincent de Paul Food Drive

 Nov. 10th - 11th and Nov. 17th-18th

 

The St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) will be distributing Thanksgiving baskets to those in need in our area.  Your donations of non-perishable food items will be collected in the Narthex the weekend of Nov. 10th-11th and Nov. 17th-18th.  Some suggestions of donations include: canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, canned soups, pie fillings, Jell-O, pudding and crackers, packages of stuffing mix, instant potatoes or scalloped potatoes, Jiffy corn mix, etc.  Thank you in advance for your donations of food, backpacks, toiletry items and coats/jackets, they help to satisfy a larger volume of needs during the holidays! 


Thanksgiving Day Mass

 November 22nd,  9:30am

Thanksgiving Day Mass, Thursday, November 22nd will be celebrated at 9:30am. The Thanksgiving Day offertory supports St. Raphael's  St. Vincent de Paul SoceityWednesday night Benediction will be at 5pm and there will be no Wednesday evening Mass.

 


Thanksgiving Schedules

School dismisses on Friday, November 16th and classes resume on Monday, November, 26th.  The Parish Office will be closing at noon on Wednesday, November 21st and will be closed Thursday, November 22nd and Friday, November 23rd.
