All Saints Day - A Holy Day of Obligation

Wednesday, November 1st is the Solemnity of All Saints, a Holy Day of Obligation.  It is a day set aside to remember all the saints, known and unknown, who enjoy the glory of heaven.  Masses are on Tuesday, October 31st at 5:30pm, and Wednesday Novembert 1st at 8am (School Mass) and 7:00pm.

We are launching the new St. Raphael myParish app the weekend of November 4 & 5!  We expect the features and capabilities of our new app to foster a stronger sense of community and faith in the daily lives of all parishioners. St. Raphael will be able to communicate quick and easy with all parishioners via messages and notifications to keep you in the loop with what is going on in our church. You will then be able to quickly reply to messages or RSVP for upcoming events.  We will have volunteers at a table in the Narthex to help parishioners set-up the app on their phone and become familiar with how it works.

The Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast in the Parish Center, following the 8:00am and 9:30am Masses on Sunday, November 5th.  Help support the Knights, have breakfast with your friends, and keep your kitchen clean!

This year the St. Raphael Mass of Remembrance is scheduled for Wednesday, November 8th at 7:00pm.  We come together as a community in a special way to remember those who have died in the parish this past year.  A reception in the Parish Hall follows the Mass.

Just a reminder to check out FORMED.ORG offering a variety of Catholic Content including books, movies, scripture study, educational videos and more.

This month's feature film explores Karol Wojtyla's life behind the scenes: how he touched millions of people, changed the face of the Church and the world, and how he defended the dignity of mankind.  Shot on location in Rome and Poland in close connection with the Vatican, this is the definitive epic film on the life of Pope John Paul II.

Or try an Audiobook: The author reminds us that at Mass the veil separating earth and heaven lifts, so that we stand with angels and saints in the presence of God Most High.
