Email Newsletter February

Time to turn our minds to the season of Lent. Here is the February newsletter.  Be sure to visit the parish website for more details about this month's activities.

Fr. Tim Sherwood, Pastor

The Cub and Boy Scouts will observe Scout Sunday at the 11:30am Mass on Sunday, February 4th, in recognition of their founding in February 1910.  The Scout Law says that a "Scout is Reverent" and Scouts of all ages promise to do their "Duty to God". These values strengthen youth character in their family, community, and faith.   Keep our scouts in your prayers.

On Saturday, February 10th The Parish Center will be bustling with fun, featuring apparel from LuLaRoe!   Join the CCW for lunch, friends, and raffles.  Doors open at 11:00am. Cost is $20 per person, or $10 for children under 8.  Check the bulletin for further information or call 727-410-4176 for registration, payment or questions.

Just a reminder, St. Raphael School students will be off on Tuesday, February 6th while teachers attend an inservice training.  Moms, dads and students, enjoy the day!  The School and Parish Office will also be closed on Monday, February 19th in recognition of Presidents' Day.

This year's Annual Pastoral Appeal (APA), "Blessed are we..." begins the weekend of February 10th.  For the last five years, thanks to your generosity, St. Raphael has been successful in meeting our APA assessment.  This coming year our assessment is $248,612, an increase of about $3,300.  With your continued support we will again meet our goal.  APA envelopes are available in the Narthex, and they are also available in our weekly envelopes.  You may also give through our Parish Online Giving or through the Diocese Online Giving Account.  THANK YOU for your continued support.
