Feeding the homeless at St. Vincent DePaul

After years of serving the homeless every other month, we’ve seen firsthand that the need is greater than ever. That’s why Mustard Seed Ministry is expanding to a monthly outreach.

Starting in October 2025, we will be serving meals at the St. Vincent de Paul CARES Soup Kitchen on the 4th Tuesday of each month. In addition, we will occasionally provide dinner for the 200 residents of Pinellas Hope, creating meaningful opportunities for families to serve together—including alongside their teenagers.

Ways to get involved in the Mustard Seed

For Our Chefs:

Share your culinary gifts and generous spirit by signing up for the ministry so you’ll receive the meal sign-up link by email. Through this link, you can choose portions of our pre-selected menu to prepare. We kindly ask that you follow the provided recipe to ensure consistency and ingredient accuracy. Please bring your covered dish to Caverly Hall (the old church) on the afternoon of the 4th Tuesday of the month, by 6:00 PM or directly to SVP by 6:20-6:30pm. 384 15th St N, Saint Petersburg, FL 33705.

Transport Team:

Volunteers (18 years and older) are needed to meet at Caverly Hall to help transport food to the designated serving location—either St. Vincent de Paul CARES or Pinellas Hope. Please be sure to sign up for the ministry so you’ll receive the email link to join the Transport Team schedule.

Serving Team:

At St. Vincent de Paul CARES, volunteers must be 18 years or older to serve. At Pinellas Hope, teens are welcome to volunteer when accompanied by a parent—making it a great family service opportunity. Please be sure to sign up for the ministry so you’ll receive the email link and can reserve your serving spot.

Leadership Team:
